I’m out of Tampa, Florida. I’m safe. I’m back to the Ross family on transit to the Crane Eater family. Praise be to God.
The message that God was speaking to us in Tampa, Florida was that “He is a God of Divine providence”. In His providence he turns storms to opportunities for his praise for our own good. In all these things we remain more than conquers through Christ Jesus.
Most of the meetings I was to speak in Tampa, Florida got cancelled due to the impending hurricane but God provided ways of escape. The Bible study group that has people who support GOA still met for Bible study and lunch after. A small group of Christian business men also met.
In the midst of the storm we managed to meet with a team of business people and the Bible Study group in Tampa
Immediately after the men meeting I learnt that my flight for Thursday had been cancelled due to the impeding hurricane. I called South West Airlines and by God divine providence there was only one seat left as long as I was going to make it to Tampa Airport in one hour. Through the heavy windy rains my host got me to the airport. By the time I got the boarding pass and go through immigration I had only 15 minutes left before departure. I decided to remain prayerfully calm, waiting on God as I did my rushing part. In what appeared to be the voice of God an announcement came “The flight to Atlanta is being delayed for 40 minutes. Just enough for me to get to Gate C 37 and comfortably check in. God’s providence. The next providence that I needed someone to call on such short notice of unexpected change to come pick me from Atlanta Airport and host me. God provided the Ross family again. In an unusual experience our flight landed and remained in the runway for 30 minutes waiting to be cleared resulting from the many planes at the Gate. For all this time Gabe waiting for me at the domestic arrival. God’s providence.
When I sent an email to Pastor Brent of Grace Family Church apologizing that I was sorry we could not meet. His response was “No worries Bishop David. I already know you and your GOA work. Just fill the attached application forms for partnership and we will move on from there.” Another Divine provision.
I have rested at at the Ross family, Enjoying the fellowship of Christy and the boys while Gabe was at work at Chick Fil-A.
My next phase is with Crane Eater Community Church. Either see you there over the weekend or catch up with me on social media at Bishop David Munyiri Thagana. Thank you for your prayers.
It has not only been here in the USA where we have experienced storms but also at home in Kenya. You may recall my dad was admitted in the hospital when I left Kenya. He is now out of hospital recuperating at home. My granddaughter Grace are admitted in Hospital with my granddaughter who is sick. Joseph one of our longest serving care giver at GOA Kieni West has died. The GOA Kieni children and his family are greatly affected.
Please keep praying for our teams
Remain Blessed
