21 years ago GOA adopted the Samburu people group and undertook the first mission to Maralal. Last Saturday Nov. 16th, 2024 we celebrated the Samburu worship in their own language, reading John 3:16 in their own language as they received the challenge to make more disciples. With the council of GOA bishops, Reverends, Pastors, local and international leaders we ordained Bishop James Susanga with the support of his wife Veronica, sons Caleb, Joshua and daughter Faith to take his 21 years of GOA Samburu region to the next level of obedience to the great commission.
GOA has thousands of Samburu people who know God, love Him and worship Him within the 14 GOA Churches in the region. A GOA school in the border of GOA Laikipia and GOA Samburu region provides the opportunity for peace building between the Turkana and the Samburu and gives us an opportunity to invest in the next generation through education. The adults in this area have for the past 3 years pleaded with GOA to start adult literacy and empower the women to start a bead making enterprise where they can generate income to support their children and participate financially in advancing the Kingdom of God.

The Pastors in theses marginalized regions of Kenya travel long distances to reach villages with the Gospel. Many walk on foot for these long distances. Some of the Pastors have for the past couple of years tried to raise funds enough to buy a ministerial car to help them reach their communities with ease. None of them has been able to raise the funds they need. This Christmas generous donation of USD. 2000 could give a Pastor the gift of a motorbike and help a Pastor complete their funds target to buy a ministerial car.
