The Joy of an empowered widow

Kenya is a land of diversity. 43 tribes speak 120 dialects. Turkana region is a desert while central Kenya is an agricultural area. GOA ministries are equally diverse in making mature disciples.

Joy Griffin Fred Osundwa and I have spent the better part of the week in Turkana region sharing God’s love with the unreached and the marginalized Turkana people. Praise God for the thousands of the new believers who are now being discipled by the GOA leaders in Turkana.

Today we are in Nyandarua County along the Central Kenya Aberdare ranges. Here we are celebrating transformation of widows who received the gift of a cow from Beautiful Feet. Resulting from the gift of the cow. More cows have been added, children have completed colleges without school fees arrears, houses have been built and families are now eating healthy, consequently more disciples are being made. This is the most sustainable way of supporting GOA to support itself and make more disciples.

The proposed new Kenya child care reforms propose that the children homes moves from caring for the children in institutions by 2032 to caring the children in foster families and communities. GOA is now empowering communities to care for orphans. We spent time having fun with the children at Rhema Children’s home and Tumaini children home.
